After one year and three months, my daughter, CIEN, finally had her first haircut last Sunday at Kid's Hair Salon located at the 3rd floor of Robinson's Galleria (it was after we had our lunch at Cajun Red Rock). It was also the same salon where his brother, CIREN, had his first cut. We went to the receptionist and wrote down my daughter's name for record purposes. Hubby and I were with her during the entire cutting session. We waited for a couple of minutes before she got her turn. We put her down and let her play while waiting.
enjoying the toys sprawled around her
After sometime, we were called by one of the hairstylist and said it was my daughter's turn. Hubby decided to took off her clothes since I forgot to bring along extra clothes for her (we were in a hurry that time and it was the first time I forgot to bring extra clothing for my kids). Although there was a cloth wrapped around to prevent her hair away from her body, it was much comfortable for her to be half naked. (she still had her panties and nappy on though).
in her Superman err..Superwoman Cape
At first we were worried about how she will react if somebody else touch her hair. She hated it when I tried to tie her hair in a ponytail or even put a simple hair clip on her. Her pony-tailed hair that time was done with full effort from me and lots of striving from her.
she was so silent and behave when the stylist started to cut her hair
Fortunately, after the initial cut, she did not mind at all what was happening on her hair. She enjoyed her car ride and the Barney show going on in front of her.
But not until she felt her hair in front of her eyes and the stylist started to do her bangs. I found the following pictures cute and I'm sure she will also laugh at this when she sees them in the future:
Feeling sleepy my Cien?
Daddy and Mommy loves you Cien!
Almost done
After she had hair bangs, a little hair blowing and she's done! Hubby and I were both smiling when we saw her with her short hair and bangs. She almost looks like her Dad's Mom! Hubby started calling her Carmen (my MIL's name) and Cien will look at her and will smile sweetly.

very cute and well behaved girl you have!!!
i wished may digicam na nung 1980's para may ganyan din akong shots. LOL.
Thanks Nimmy! You're right! I think Polaroid Camera was the trend during that time. Instant din makikita yun pictures but the film is expensive unlike sa digicam, shot lng ng shot.
Found your post! :D It's good that Cien behaved the whole time. I'm afraid Kelly will keep moving around during the cut. It's really hard to keep her still.
